Our beating hearts
Our Beating Hearts was created during a residence in Riglos, a small village in the department of Huesca in the Spanish Pre-Pyrenees. This residency is part of the hito program of the the european pepinieres for young artists.
Ten years ago, a fire devastated the region. The junipers did not survive. The trees stay in the countryside, naked, revealing their twisted architecture. From the raw materials of the territory (trees and pigments) that I rearranged, I wanted to create an imaginary of this territory that " come out of the ground".
